event description:
Our annual Science Fair is a school-wide celebration of curiosity, creativity, and scientific discovery! Students from all grades are invited to design and display a project that explores a question, tests an idea, or demonstrates a scientific concept.
Advancement Opportunity: Projects from 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students may be selected to advance to the Greater Austin Regional Science and Engineering Fair (GARSEF), scheduled for February 2021, 2026.
Judging & Family Viewing: Judging will take place during the school day. Project viewing times for families will be announced soon by teachers.
Important Rules:
Demonstrations are NOT allowed. Students may not bring demonstration items or actual experiment materials to the fair. This is for safety and logistics.
Projects must clearly explain the process using the tri-fold display board, which should include:
Numerous Pictures: Show every step of the experiment.
Data and Graphs: Clearly display the results.
A Clear Explanation: Students should be able to confidently explain their process to the judges.
The Science Fair is a wonderful way for students to share their learning, practice communication skills, and celebrate the joy of science with the school community!
