Native American Heritage Day is a time for our school community to honor the rich cultures and contributions of Native American peoples. Throughout the month, students can explore posters around the school highlighting inspiring Native American leaders, artists, athletes, and changemakers.
It is also a great time to recognize and appreciate the Native nations whose ancestral lands our community is built upon, including the Nʉmʉnʉʉ Sookobitʉ (Comanche), Tonkawa, Jumanos, Ndé Kónitsąąíí Gokíyaa (Lipan Apache), and Coahuiltecan peoples.
